Relocation services

Relocation service providers in India provide visitors a variety of services, including:

Passports and visas

Except for a very few countries, visitors need a visa to enter the country. You should get the visa at an Indian embassy or consulate before entering the country. There's no provision for getting a visa on arrival. You should also carry photocopies of the face page of your passport and the page the visa is on in case your passport is stolen.

Foreign citizens who visit India to study, do research, work or act as missionaries, as well as all travellers planning to stay more than 180 days are required to register within 14 days of arrival with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FFRO) where they will be staying. The FRRO has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Chennai (Madras), Kolkata (Calcutta), and Amritsar. In smaller cities and towns, the local police headquarters will normally perform this function.
